Hi I liked this intro to your young protagonist - tightly written and good copy - not surprising given your credentials. I was a bit thrown by the Leapsquick line but also intrigued so that's good. Not much to crit in terms of the style I found it flowed well and had soe nice descriptive writing in there - esp around the for of the bubble - loved the one re the window and rain - nice. I only spotted 1 minor gramatical - the sentence that said "He remembered television program..." should have been "He remembered a television program" I have starred and added to my watchlist and will read chapter 3 also.
