Hello Daniel: You are truly a prolific poet and it is clear that you have a poetic gift. I enjoyed the rhythm, meter and rhyme of your work. That being said, I have some suggestions: 1. Get rid of the meter counts at the end of each line. The numbers are extremely distracting and downgrade the professionalism of the presentation. 2. Take the table of contents out of the pitch and put it in its own chapter. 3. The line in the pitch which says, "These may very well be the best pieces of prose you will ever read in your whole life," is pretty um...ambitious? On a technical point, prose is not poetry but is actually the opposite of poetry. Dictionary.com defines it this way: ""the ordinary form of spoken or written language, without metrical structure, as distinguished from poetry or verse." Blessings to you. Poetry can be especially hard to share because it comes from the deepest depths of one's heart. WHOA! This is really good stuff. I like the way you do this. It is really really good. One suggestion would be to cut these into smaller sections because It is a BIT long. Otherwise it's super good. Hi Daniel, Thanks for backing my 'Elton' book. I've now officially read my first poetry book on here. In short, you're most certainly a very talented writer - the variance and depth of the poems are fantastic. I think it's also great that you cover such a broad scope of subjects as it means virtually any user of this site can find something they're at least interested in, as well as giving other subjects a go once they're into it. This is the first poetry book on authonomy I have come across and I have enjoyed dipping into these. The poems are well written and cover a variety of interesting topics. The numbers are a slight distraction to my savouring of the words. Even so, very nice collection. Shelved. Carole

WOW, WOW, WOW! I love it, so fare my favorite is The Sea of Shadows KC The Mysterious Legened of Vladimir.

Some of these would feature well in an Anthology. In a book you can browse and select something that you fancy reading. To consider and find favourites is more difficult on a screen. There is no doubt that you have a fine collection here, some more meaningful to me than others. I liked Demon but I know there is a lot more to enjoy. Poetry can't be hurried and I will be back for more. Margaret.

Being a published poet, I can appreciate good poetry. And you have that. I enjoyed your work, and I also was interested in your choice of subject matter. It reminds me of what I tried to do in my poetry book, which is on Amazon.com ("LOOK IN THE MIRROR"). I also I tried to instill this type of mentality into one of my main characters in my current first novel "The Nostradamus Seed". Angels, demons, heaven, dreams, good and evil, etc. - all great inspirations for poetry that stimulates the imagination.So of course I can't help but love your stuff. Definintely shelved!

I loved most of your poems. I'm not a poet, so you might want to take everything I say with a pinch of salt. Ithink that you sould remove the word 'a' from line eight of Graveyard Shift. Also, I think you need to keep your line lengths closer together. Perhaps rhyming couplets aren't necessary? As I say, I'm no poet. On the other hand, your slightly macabre themes and brilliant imagery really brought the poems to life for me. I also liked the slight religious twist to some of the poems, as it is thoughtful and poignant. Shelved, for shining potential.

I find~ usually in poetry it is difficult to offer feedback because poetry is personal and written in a personal flavor so even though I'm up to ch 2, I find the way you displayed your poetry distracting, but I feel some of the words, yet I feel them forced instead of written truly from the heart. See what I mean, since I don't feel your poetry, doesn't mean it isn't good, it simply means it isn't felt by me. Perhaps in ch 3, 4 and so on. I will, so I will read more and see. I've read your other book, not poems, and enjoyed every word of it, so I know you are a good writer. .

Over the years I have read more poetry than you can shake a stick at. My real bookshelves are groaning under the weight of every conceivable poet and genre and nationality. This poet combines accessibility with some stunning lines. The metre and the a a, b b rhyming pattern also makes for an easy read for the usually non-poetry reader. Here are just some examples taken at random: “What I'm about to tell you breaks my heart; I'm the one who let it fall apart....” ................................................................... “ You look at me - give me a glare; Break my heart with an ice-cold stare....” ................................................................... “ I will always remember how we fell in the snow That cold, dark night in December so very long ago. Snowflakes softly spiral down as the sunlight sings, Drifting down with wonder, alighting on angels' wings. We stayed up all night long, sitting by the fireside, We looked into each other's eyes as the embers died. Now I'm getting closer to you than I ever thought I might; You're a candle in my window on a cold, dark winter's night.” ................................................................................. I would quote from Dancing in the Darkness but I would be repeating the entire poem. (Chapter 2) Try also Garden of my Life.(Chapter 4) ............................................................................................... “How the faithful princess has become a harlot; Now her royal robes are stained like scarlet. As for her lovers, they have betrayed her; Each has dealt treacherously and none remain to comfort her.” ......................................................................................... “Don't ever touch those tempting threads, Seductive silk - silver strands of spider-webs. Leaving you as food for their hatching young,” ................................................................... “Have you ever been lost inside a dream, A nightmare you can't wake up from, it seems?... A rift in the fabric of truth is torn; The barrier is broken - a black-hole is born. From the shattered shell of a fading fantasy, A nightmare is released into reality....” ........................................................................... And on and on. I would be pleased to have this in my real shelf collection to dip in and out as the fancy takes. I would urge you all to do the same. Dip in and out of this book. I guarantee you will find something, probably lots, that will appeal. Backed.

Powerful Poetry Hi Daniel, I love your poems, there is absolutely not enough poetry on this site. They are an easy read and get us deep quickly, none of that over-pretentious stuff here, short stanzas that take us somewhere, evocative, the unfurling of a moment to the gentle beat of a rhythm, brilliant stuff, well done - Andrew W.
