Two drowned men are discovered. They both look like struggling writer Tony Sawyer. The same zigzag marks are on them. Then another body's washed up…

Detective John Thomas and his new colleague Clarissa set to work in the usually laidback West Country. Meanwhile, Tony Sawyer is running scared. Thomas and Clarissa are after him as well. Then a fourth drowned body is found. It looks nothing like the previous three, but everything like Clarissa. The investigation soon discovers something bigger than anyone could ever imagine is behind the murders.

** Please note, the first two chapters are two children's short stories featuring Norby Nofuss the wise old horse. The third chapter is the opening chapters of a supernatural thriller of mine called BloodMeal, not suitable for children. But I hope some of you grown-up people will enjoy it – I think especially those who are readers of Darren Shan, James Herbert, Stephen King and Dean Koontz will get into this story.
