SWITCHBACK

M A Lewis

Ever looked into a mirror and wondered what was on the other side looking right back at you? Bet you have, or you will now.

And if you were given the chance, would you step into that world to find out for sure what was really in there? Would you?

During a prison interview with a condemned murderer, CNN reporter Alexandra Lord is told about some unexplainable evil residing in the tiny close-knit town of Leyton Falls. Something so other-worldly that she just has to delve deeper into it to get from it what she needs. She takes her seventeen-year-old sister Sammi to Leyton Falls on a so-called two week break, but Alexandra is keeping the true reason for their visit to herself.

A cheeky toy clown, a cop-killing six-year-old dead girl, and all manner of sinister happenings crop up in this latest offering from M A Lewis.

Lifers

M A Lewis

One frustrated private investigator, one hot-headed teenage girl, and one geeky pyrotechnician lost whilst on his way to a sci-fi convention ... unlikely saviours?

When private investigator Gregg Pieroni goes to the small town of Martinsville to follow a lead given to him by a psychic -a lead telling him the whereabouts of nine missing teenage girls- he stumbles across a secret that’s been hidden from the world for the past seventy years. A secret so surreal, it has him questioning his own beliefs, not to mention his sanity.

When Gregg discovers what the repercussions of uncovering that secret mean for him, he realises he can no longer leave Martinsville. Never again will he see his family or friends, or have the life he lived and loved only yesterday. And with every resident in town wanting him dead -including their maniacal cop- will one storm-sieged night be enough time for him to find and rescue those missing girls?

I read chapter one and quite enjoyed it, Shea. Your characters blend well with each other and their dialogue blends well with them. The writing is crisp and clear and, I have to say, typo-free, as far as I could tell. So, you're either an expert at editing, or an expert has gone over this for you. E... view book

Excellent premise, great concept, and right up there with any current sci-fi story. Your characters are believable and their dialogue isn't forced or false, and your writing flows, no jarring sentences, no having to read anything more than once to understand it's meaning. As I said, a great story,... view book

IHCG Review The Night Marchers By Kestrelraptorial. Although I’m not one for dragons and the like, and this is akin to a second review of “Dragonraptor”, I did think the story on this later part was better than that of the early chapters. But if I was to say you have an issue that needs a good... view book

IHCG Review Fresh Meat by Maeve Sleibhin Your first half-dozen paragraphs overdo the explanation thing for me; you have described almost everything between the airport and Jeremy’s flat, in which you tell us three times that the sea is blue, I’d consider doing this only once. In the first chap... view book

I don't see how I could give you an in-depth review of any kind, Lucette, everything here is perfect. Any good review you have read in the past for other works of lit belong here, with yours. Chloe seems to be ruthless in her rise to fame, and the old addage: "Be careful of who you step on on your ... view book
