about me

I love reading - that's why I registered with this forum! Always interested in hunting down good books. My favourites tend toward classics, history, family, romance, young adult and children's stories. I'm happy to review books in these genres.
Don't ask me to read horror/thriller/crime.

Hi Pam, I've just finished reading your story - when is the rest coming??! I like the layers; it feels like you've got a well planned plot with layers. You've started well into the action of the story instead of dumping backstory - well done. I like the main character. You draw the reader into the ... view book

Hi Tone, I had a look at the prologue and Chapter 1. Your writing is fast paced and vivid, I can imagine this one doing well in the crime/thriller arena. It felt a little description-heavy, but don't weed all your adjectives out since that's part of your style. Good strong verbs - For example, I l... view book

Hi Audrey, It's great to see another of your books up! I intended to skim the first chapter but ended up reading the lot this afternoon... I like your writing style; you're vivid and engaging. Your dialogue between adults and teenagers is a real strength. A few comments - and it's your book, you do... view book

Hi Rob, I picked this one up because I liked the pitch - sounds like a great story in the making and I've just read chapter 1. I liked the accident at the start, its a good way to pitchfork two people together. I do think you'll need to polish it more to let the story out though. To be specific: 1... view book
