about me

After several years lecturing in psychology, I went on to become a training manager, producing written materials and e-learning. I'm now a freelance website designer, which enables me to devote more time to writing.

A project is currently taking up a lot of my time so I'm only doing a little reading and backing now and then.

Spammer

Sylvia

When Judy tries to retaliate against a spammer, she has no idea her actions will arouse the fury of a ruthless Russian billionaire.

Judy's attempts to block incessant spam from her website guestbook come to an immediate halt when she uncovers a dangerous secret about the spammer's activities. But it's too late - she's left a digital trail that anyone with the expertise can follow all the way to her cosy, semi-detached home.

The resulting violence from the Belarusian spammers, Vadim and Sacha, is beyond anything she could have imagined. Yet this pales to insignificance when compared to the revenge of the man they're ripping off, Sacha's billionaire Russian boss, Alexi Bukolov.

Judy becomes unwittingly entangled in the spammers' swindle, making her a target for Bukolov's vicious and far-reaching retribution. Her life is in imminent danger, but even more distressingly, so is that of her teenage daughter, Nicole.

Four very different people are thrown together in a struggle for survival that forces them to adapt to each other's strengths and weaknesses, and to the secrets each of them hides. Yet no matter how hard they try to evade him, Bukolov's vast resources make their capture inevitable.

Complete at 80,000 words.

I saw this on the Faux Agents thread and absolutely loved it. The humour is very natural but also extremely clever: “I’ve had gastroenteritis. Mum not leprosy,” Holly retorted, “and I would remember being six inches taller I assure you.” From what I've read so far, my only tweaks would be: Wea... view book

TT, this is a completely charming and funny story, a rambling family saga with beautifully observed every-day mishaps. Your characters are realistic and maybe just that tiny bit larger-than-life to emphasise the little absurdities that make unintentional comedians of us all. The only suggestions ... view book

Beautiful writing of an ugly subject, one that fits the future only too well from the perspective of today. I'm certain many people of many persuasions will find this gripping material; it is unrelenting in pace and quality, and if it continues as it starts, this will be published. "Something com... view book

Always love your writing. This is no exception, aside from the following odd bit: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. is looking for a new stone… ??? Aside from one small issue, I found this story astonishingly well written and completely gripping. It's difficult to imagine how you thought up the characters: a protagonist who does beauty treatments for corpses, then a fat student with his father plugged into his brain: 'Something I've been sea... view book
