about me

Aspiring author. Lover of words, Doctor Who, HGTV, and pizza. Always pizza. All the time.

I've completed four YA manuscripts - they need work, a lot of it. If I post anything here, I'm just looking for feedback. Not interested in fighting for the editor's desk - been there, done that on a similar site that is no longer with us.

I'm not sure if people will read this, so....

A heartfelt goodbye to no one,

Rani Lee

Return read. Hi Jo, Your prologue is definitely a good hook. I'll admit that it reminded me a bit of the Twilight prologue, but only in style not so much in content. I don't understand why there is a break when she mentions the gun in her face. I mean, it is a dramatic moment, but since the... view book

YARG Review Hi Josephine! I want to start by saying that your premise is amazing. I understood that Galah could manipulate people by the middle of the prologue when the girl with the jump rope says that she didn't know why she picked Galah over her best friend, and from that point, I was very ... view book

YARG Review Hi Lynda, I have read the first four chapters of Awakening of the Dream Riders, and my thoughts are as follows: First, your prologue immediately grabbed my attention and made me keep reading. I like your voice and the tone of the story, and based on it, I was ready for something... view book

YAPR Review Hi Ashley, I have read the first chapter of your novel, and my thoughts are as follows: I think you have a good concept of the YA genre. Your voice throughout this definitely resonates as one that could do well in the market. I really liked the opening scene with her sister. ... view book

Hi Richard, I have just read the first five chapters of The Snow Lily, and my thoughts are below. The writing is clear and sophisticated and so are your characterizations. Chapter 1- I thought this chapter was strong. The releationship between Lily and Bobby is set up well, and the danger t... view book
