What an intriguing tale. You have a very homespun manner of writing that encourages the reader to fall easily into the story. The imagery is lovely and the narrative flows easily. Backed with pleasure.

Winter wheat would have been harvested in late spring, and there's nothing unusual about flowers being in bloom in the spring - Meg Wearing

Hi Meg
I love your story. It reminds me in a way of Little House on the Prairie. The thing that I thought was wrong though was that it opens in spring, with the crops and flowers in full bloom. Crops don't usually ripen until late summer, early autumn. Same with flowers. Just a pointer. There was a couple of typos I spotted in the first chapter. Two words needed the letter D at the end of them. Other than that you have a really remarkable story here, which I'm sure will do very well for you. You will have a wide audience with this read because I think it will appeal to all. High stars from me, and it will get a place on my WL and shelf in due time. Well done and thank you for sharing it with me.
Brian.

This is a wonderful story. There are a couple of grammatical corrections needed - a semi-colon needed rather than a comma. But all in all it's a delightful tale. I love the dialogue and the descriptive passages regarding the sights of Dublin. Interesting that it's very much like my novel, A Shamrock On The Prairie with the difference being my heroine has just emigrated from Galway to the states and is being introduced to service in a grand house in Kansas.

Backed with pleasure.

This is a very charming tale - puts me in mind of Jude Devereux. I love the attention to detail, and the change in the tenor of the men's speech when she slips into the earlier time period. The only crit I found was the use of the term, baffoon; I believe you meant to use the word, buffoon.

I hope you do well on here.

A very well written piece - an intimate look into the lives of people only read about previously in history books. Very enjoyable, especially the first chapter where Dana takes that plunge into the unknown separating herself from her beloved father. Very well done.

A very engaging tale - well-written plus the dialogue flows smoothly. The technical jargon is impressive, but not overwhelming like a Crichton novel. The personal descriptions are also good. The only criticism I have is that I found the conversation about the characteristics of the fired cook a bit stilted. It seems a woman in her position would have just said I fired him because he was drunk and let it go at that. All in all a very enjoyable read.

Very well written - enthralling plot. The dialogue is very script, and gives one the impression the author has a background in law. Backed with pleasure.
