Hi! Sorry for the delay. Well, great start! The whole pirate theme is a clear winner with children. You have your chief character 'Jack' whom I am sure children will warm too.the pace was good, strong opening with the peril evident almost imediately. Be careful for example when you use phrases like 'his mum said in a distracted sort of voice'. It is more powerful to say ' Clearly distracted,his mum said.... Does that make sense? I have just edited and re edited mine and these were things I needed to cut with lots of advice of course! I found many instances in my own bok where I over wrote. When its tidied up and polished it does read better without. I love the feel of this and you write so well! Shelved! view book

This is great! What a cool idea and well written. Love the whole setting, explanation of different ghost types! Glad you are staying firm and not changing things. I got into such a mess correcting and trying to adapt it to suit so many reviews. It was a huge mistake. I took time to pick what was really important but stay true to my idea.
