about me

I had the generally pleasurable and overall useful experience of a book making the Desk, and I had the somewhat queasy experience of another book heading for the Desk which I thought wasn't ready for review, so I pulled it when it was on page 1, but I was glad to know it had a genuine readership. In both cases it was great to see so many readers enjoy what I'd written.

I had the very interesting and enjoyable experience of running a LitFic group for 6 or 7 months. I met a lot of great writers, many of whom are now published. I may do that again when the revamp is up. Or, I may 'fade far away, dissolve, and (you will) quite forget...'

But while I was here I met and made friends with many highly intelligent and interesting and rather lovely people. And, I genuinely think, I met some who could be among the best of newly published writers if they get the breaks.

*I pass through occasionally to pick up something I dropped.

Hi, I'd read the openers and then saw you'd uploded a new edit so I'll read again. I can see already you've made some changes where I was not so sure, like adding specificity about the world she knows even though she has never been there. This is really all just to be taken IMHO and for you... view book

Hi Dan, I was glad to see this, and you, here. Evie and Guy is a work of art, first and last. I have two reviews for this. The one I am experiencing now, on a second 'reading' and the one I wanted to write yesterday but couldn't make time for; that would have been something very different to ho... view book

Christopher Hitchens At Heaven . . . . . . . . . . Atheist Meets Jesus Hi Jim, I looked at this recently, then got distracted, so I'm starting again.  I've not commented on a book that is in the Christian Lit Genre, not that I recall anyway.  My usual way is to make running notes, and jot do... view book
