about me

I am a widow, and have given up work to devote my full time to writing.
I don't want my ego massaged but would like honest feedback. Be brutal - I can take it!
Please do not say,'If you back my book, i will back yours. I will back books I think deserve backing and hope that others will do likewise.
I am at present working on two books, one of which will complete my trilogy. I need to know which works best. One, Of Time and Distance, starts right after the book before, the other Mists of Time, starts 14 years later.
Thank you for your help.

Loved your wording as i did in the first chapter. It is poetic and authentic, light and very very readable. Again it is only the editing that lets you down. Some sentences are clumsily constructed. I wish this site allowed cut and past, since typing them out takes so much time. From the small... view book

I only read the first chapter, but I will definately be back to read more later. I loved the story. The characters and their speech are authentic for the period. I can just see stout old Mary of the puffy knuckles and ankles spilling over her shoes. I sympathise with your protagonist already and ... view book

I have only had time to read one chapter, there are so many brilliantly written books on this site. But one chapter is usually all it takes to gauge the quality of the writing, and your writing passes the muster. I want to read on. I will come back later and read another chapter - and I'm sure i ... view book

I like your voice and your style of writing. But my goodness you do like your exclamation marks! There are other typos like 'I didn't t know' No capital after a question mark (you have rather a lot of them too) A bit of editing would improve what is basically a good read. Good luck. view book
