about me

Disabled and unemployed I decided to give my childhood dream of being a writer a chance this year. Since the beginning of the year I have thrown myself to the wolves of self-doubt and having taken a few bites from them but I keep going on because I love it. The thrill of self satisfaction I get when a plot comes together, or even a simple paragraph is worded just right, is addicting.
I just want to write and have people go "wow" or " that was good" more than any dreams of riches and fame that is what I hope for.
Most of all I want to make my daughter proud. She has started imitating me and has been attempting to write her own stories. Pretty good stuff for a ten year old but then again I'm biased. I wrote her a short story, ten pages, for her last birthday and she keeps it in a plastic cover and has taken care of it better than her own toys and belongings. As she approaches the dreaded teen years I hope her appreciation for literature remains (however idealistic that may be) and she continues to read and write. I hope a lot of things for her and writing, for me anyways, is a continuation of that hope. It is what drives me to push through when those wolves of self doubt I mentioned are nipping at my heels.

The Violent Sun Incident

Raziel

Futuristic soldiers are sent to intercept an unknown space vessel and find themselves in a fight against an invisible enemy that they can not kill.

The AstroGuard (AG) sends Bravo Company to intercept an unknown vessel that has crossed into UPA (United Planets of America) territory. The vessel fails to respond to all forms of communication and long range scanners can not determine anything at all about the ship other than its massive size; it is simply classified as unidentified. The nine member Company sets off to intercept the ship on their new MX4 class Interceptor named The Violent Sun. When they arrive at the intercept point they find the other vessel to be completely abandoned and lifeless. After boarding the ship they are ordered by their Captain to obtain any information they can about the "alien" ship. In the process of exploring the large ship curious sounds, fleeting images, and haunting memories start to assault them. After two members vanish without a trace Bravo Company suddenly finds themselves in a fight against an enemy they can not see, can not touch and can not kill and they may have only one option to survive; complete destruction of the ship and everyone on it.

Read the first chapter and your descriptions are awesome. You make one simple moment seem like a feast of the senses, turning the dull into something extraordinary. Since Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles is one of my all time favorite series of books this story is right up my alley. I will read mor... view book

Wow, only read the first chapter and so far out of the dozen or so books have read on here yours is the best written. Your writing is wonderful. Heck don't even know how to put it into words. Great read with more imagination and descriptive scenes than most "bestsellers" out there. If you ever ... view book

I like the idea and will check back on it. My kind of story. It is a little confusing at first, chapter 1, and could use some refining. I had to reread three times before I understood where they were at the beginning; the beach. However, if they were at the beach which it implies they are then h... view book
