about me

I'm knocking on the door of my 60th year, and have served my country by avoiding doing any work for the years I spent in the Royal Navy, then by making plastic drainpipes, driving a forklift truck, and then a parcel delivery van.
I began writing to occupy myself during my lunch-breaks, and so far have about a dozen full-length novels waiting for a publisher to discover them.
My wife thinks that I am wasting my time bothering, and would be better employed killing weeds in her garden. My son is completing his third year at University.
My hobbies include designing, building, and flying, radio-controlled model aircraft, photography, scuba-diving, amateur radio, music, and avoiding GM foods and products with soya in them.
I have now opened a new e-mail account especially for here - contact me at
x1stphilmypajhes@ntlworld.com
and if you do not put Vince books (with the capital) in the subject, it will go straight to the spam bin.

I'm pleased to announce that I am now being published by Amazon.com, and have the first two books tea break tales, and Rick and Rosie - in print, with Vince to follow shortly. You might care to purchase a copy?? (plug)

If you supported me on here, many thanks.

Well - I've now read it to the final word. Nice ideas, spoiled by some grammatical errors and typo's, as I've already mentioned. What a coincidence that your heroine followed almost the same path as mine, in Vince! Wait until you read about Chris, in a later book, not yet released, she also aims... view book

Two typo's - talking about getting the dead pilot out of his seat, in chapter 11, that should be limp body, not limber body! The two girls circumvented the island. no! Circumvent means avoid, I suspect you meant circumnavigate! view book

Hi again Steve. a google has produced this - The Citabria, as the whole world knows, is, or rather was, a rehashed 7AC Champ. In the early 1960s the little Champ was still batting around trying to earn its keep as a trainer, and was doing the excellent job it always had. However, flight operator... view book

Well, further to my previous comment. I've now read to the end of chapter 8. Great stuff. I've seen a couple of trivial typo's, hardly worth mentioning, but - what's a Citaborea? I presume you mean a Citabria, the high-wing Bellanca that is often used as a glider tug? Chapter nine next time i get ... view book

Ah, the Renault Dauphin (dolphin, I think!) A car that I fancied when I was too young to drive. Now all cars look the same! I've only read chapter one so far, due to lack of time, but it's an intriguing start! view book
