about me

"May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand." - visit www.gilbertmartin.co.za

"This series of books are my gift to the world, to reach peoples hearts to change the world and the people that live in it. I believe we are one family, nine billion strong and an extended family of unnumbered species. I believe we all believe in the same thing, we just need to learn to see our similarities..."

We are all a part of the world, and so am I. Like you I am a citizen of this world, lent only for a short while and in this time I intend on doing as much as possible with my life for the benefit of others, with everything I am able to do and that God has talented me to do.

I am a Christian but I have respect for all lifestyles, races and religions and believe that we are not different. In all our differences, there is one thing that remains and always is a similarity, our ability to love and everything that follows this.

The world in its current form hurts me, I believe that we can make this world a better place and the lives we live and we can be proud of, if we just try harder and are willing to give up just that little bit more.

I am grateful for everything and everyone in my life. I am physically active, have many pets and a family that loves me. I am single and choose to remain this way because I want to dedicate my life to God, in everything I do.

I collect rocks, bonsais, love golf, my dogs and parrot. I am a web developer and graphic designer by trade. I am currently writing a series of books called the Ten Scrolls. I am also the owner of the global charity organization Raise Your Hand.

I was born in Johannesburg and raised in a small village, called Walkerville. It is a small farming village, which heightened my love for nature and the outdoors, and more significantly my love for minerals, animals, and plants.

Growing up, I learnt to respect my elders and appreciate life, family, and friends, to cherish each moment and to do everything for the honour of God, even if you fail, you must stand and carry on walking.

Through my writing and friendships around the world, we have helped many people in their darkest hour.

The world needs to realize that all it needs is just a kind and caring smile, not pertinence or judgement. This will define how we grow and how we care for our planet, its inhabitants, and most importantly, each other.

I believe in a dream, and that dream is to follow your heart, every opportunity given, to be grateful everyday, quick to forgive, and a heart that is always willing to listen.

That is my message that I wish to leave behind for the children and people of this world. To live, to love and in everything to do your utmost best and know that you are enough, just as you are.

The Ten Scrolls - The Journey ....

Gilbert Martin II

A journey begins to unite the races of Auril. The tides of doom descend upon its lands. Is this the end of all things?

Their time has joined with ours.

All the magical things you believed in as a child and others you never heard of, are about to come to life.

It appears that all is lost. Soon the magical veil of belief that protects and hides their world from ours will fade and Aeon will take dominion over all of creation.

The mighty will of Aeon controls and overpowers the people of Auril.

Across the veil, the Earth is erupting, great winds of change move across the face of your planet, it defends you, like a mother, from the evil that sets it will against your existence.

From within the magical city of Endorin, a light shines, calling once more the races of Auril to unite and to save the very existence of life.

The scrolls of time are open and the truth of your world is before you.

My child, you are the beacon that will change the history of this world and ours.

Remember, as you once did when you were a child, for that is all that can undo the destruction surrounding us all.

Your naming conventions remind me of gaming alot, also JRR... the war of, the lord, the city of... I used to suffer from this, but got ripped to shreds by another author that and fellow editor friend that said, give me the name already! Good story though... view book
