Shadows of Time - Probable Out....

Joseph J. Reinemann

Reluctant time travelers are stranded in the middle of a war where they may represent the last best chance for victory.

The year is 2068, and a war no one expected is about to begin for Captain Kellen Buchard. Seventy years earlier, John Roley, Tim Jackson, and ISAC-9 have just accidentally kidnapped three people with their new ship: the Wells. In exchange for their silence, the time travellers agree to just one trip. But when the Wells crashes they find themselves stranded in a future where the world is locked in an endless cold war. Here the Wells is the ultimate super weapon, a force capable of ending the war before it ever began.
The crew finds itself forced into uneasy alliances with both sides as they work to repair their stricken ship and escape. But before they do nations will crumble, alliances will falter, and lives will be forever changed.

Accountability

Joseph J. Reinemann

After a devastating crash, two engineers struggle as one of them becomes the company's new hero and the other is blamed for the accident.

The unveiling of the XJ-801 airliner should have been the defining moment of the careers of Dr. Donald Raine and Richard Dimarco. Instead, it was the project that almost ended them. After the prototype inexplicably rolls onto an active runway and collides with another plane, the two engineers barely escape with their lives only to discover that their near bankrupt company views them as the best possible scapegoats for the accident. When a mysterious figure approaches Donald with a dubiously legal proposition to buy the XJ-801's wreckage, he jumps at the chance and for the first time finds out what it's like to be the company's hero. It's a position the stockholders are only too happy to let him keep, so long as he can keep delivering results. At the same time Richard finds himself being locked out of everything. His worst fears about being glamed for an accident that wasn't his fault seem to be being realized. As both men’s professional lives gradually fall to pieces around them, they begin to search for the one man who they hope can answer the question of what happened to the XJ-801: John Roley.

Actually, this is a Sequel to the original Shadows of Time, which was released in 2006. Accountability takes place in the same continuity, and does directly tie in to both books, but because it follows different characters and is only loosely connected to the main story I try to treat it as a s... view book

Hi. I've only read a chapter so far, but it's certainly an interesting start. You've got an promising premise, and the hook works well. I can definitely see a few traces of the Divine Comedy in here. Unfortunately, there are several mechanical issues with your prose that seriously irk me. I k... view book
