about me

I have been away from Authonomy for some time, but I'm back.
The last time I was here, I uploaded the first ten chapters of my latest Matt Davis Mystery, Broken Promises. It is nearly finished (I'm at 63,000 words) and expect to publish it in July, 2013. It is the fourth in the series, following As The Twig Is Bent, Opening Day, and Twice Bitten.
Opening Day is a recent recipient of an Indie B.R.A.G. medallion. I hope you'll consider reading and backing it, as well as As The Twig Is Bent, and Broken Promises.
As the Twig was recently released as an audio book and is available through Audible.com and iTunes. The other three Matt Davis mysteries are scheduled to be completed as audio books by summer's end. I believe all are unique, well-written books, deserving of more attention than they have received so far. If you do back the books, please be so kind as to tell a friend or two to also support them.
I would be more than happy to exchange looks and backings (if honestly deserved on either end) and would really appreciate both. That's it! That's my plea. Thanks for reading.

I was a sportswriter for the Passaic-Clifton, NJ Herald News, as well as a freelance advertising copywriter. I've authored seven books, including five novels, a humorous guide to divorce for men, and a fishing primer for parents and adults. I was a professional fly-fishing guide on the Beaverkill River in the Catskill Mountains of New York State.
Escaping Innocence (A Story of Awakening) is a coming-of-age novel set in the sixties, which is currently in production as an audio book.

Opening Day was published on April 1, 2010 to coincide with the opening day of trout season in New York State, the setting for the story. It and all of my other books (except the fishing book) are available in paperback from CreateSpace, and as a Kindle books.

Frightening situation, well described, that could certainly be real. I very much enjoyed the three chapters I read. One small nit: the word is "waist," not waste, two-thirds the way down the page of chapter 3. Excellent writing, especially the dialogue, which I prize highly. Backed with pleasure... view book

I received an email from you today, soliciting support for a new book you've written. My question to you (and one that others should be asking) is: How did you get my email address? view book

Loved the pitch, especially the line about Switzerland and its neutrality. This is quite clever and refreshing. Best of luck with it. view book

A delightfully descriptive diorama...alliteratively speaking, of course. Good job. view book

Beautifully crafted, engrossing story, told with oil painting-like word pictures. Good job! view book
