about me

The Communicator is completed at 78000 words and sitting on my agent’s desk. He is pissed off at the short paragraphs, and action packed tendencies that “...infiltrate and infect your prose, drag you away from literature, and abandon you in a sea of shipwrecked, mass market drivel.” He goes on, but I’ll spare the reader. He’ll get over it, and I’ll argue with him and edit for the next few months, re-title, re-name, and publish.

I usually spend my time in a small room listening to the World Service and enticing the keyboard to write something valid. Authonomy has been an interesting social networking experience (my first), a disappointing critical experience, and an obsessive Back to Back experience. It has been fun, however, and I found a few good books and a few writers worthy of being published

I owe a debt of gratitude to Fernado Pessoa from whom I learned that there is more than one life, more than one name, and more than one writer in me.

I urge you all to invest your passion in your writing. And when you read a book if nothing else, be critical.

I’m here on Wednesdays for reads only. If you want me to read your book leave a message.

An effective slice of realism delivered by fast paced economical prose. At first glance the reader might consider this to be a superficial slice of life. A deeper look, however, reveals that all the pieces of dialogue, varied points of view, and the overwhelming sense of futility are woven togethe... view book

A good story, smooth writing, good character development, and an interesting slice of Trinadaian life. I couldn't help but think of V S Naipal's early work. You've portayed the struggle of a displaced culture to preseve it's traditions well. How Lachtmin suffers from traditions and Rajinath srug... view book

Good writing makes for a good read and M.D. Jackson has created an adventure in tension. Good character development, and excellent plot buiding. Whereas the formula calls for short exciting chapters, Jackson shows us that good writing always prevails. Her long first chapter slowly and deliberately... view book

Telegraph Road is an effective mataphor for the winding mysteries of Judy O'Malley's secrets. Perhaps I did not completly grasp the vernacular in the last sentence of the prologue, but I suggest removing the word being after road and discard the (!) at the end. A slow unfolding mystery flows f... view book
