about me

So, I've been away for awhile now. But I'm happy to be back! For those that know my book by it's previous title, Ikuista: The Fade of Dawn, will notice that it no longer carries that name. Bloodlines: Everything That Glitters is now a published novel, available through the iBookstore, Google Books, Amazon/Kindle, Smashwords, and Kobo.

For anyone who's ever left a comment on Ikuista, a million thanks! You're all a warm slice of awesome pie :) Please, go and like my author page on facebook for exclusive coupon codes and giveaway offers!

Now, although I find myself quite the busy bee these days, I am always delighted to read books and I do enjoy getting read swap requests and I honor every one. I usually read the first two chapters (If it's any good) and comment/back accordingly; I only ask that if you've asked me to read swap with you that you go first. Likewise if I ask you, be expecting me to follow up within the next hour or so. That's how I roll; I've been 'stood up' too many times as it is. Also, I pride myself on being honest with all of my reviews and I take a lot time reading a reviewing, I won't tell you something is good if it's not.

I'm something of an oddball and undoubtedly the black sheep of my family. I embrace weird and I'm really on a quest to find something different. I don't really read Non-Fiction or Biography's.

Like most people, I read what I want to. Please, for the love of all that's holy, do not spam me repeatedly asking to borrow a space on my self.

Great power demands an even greater sacrifice…

Seventeen years ago, Psenora, the rarest form of Mother Nature, crossed over into our world while escaping bloodthirsty hunters- but she was not alone. Tucked away inside the protection of her cloak, she carried a newborn baby girl whom she later named, Alizarin. It is during their time in the human world that Alizarin first discovers that she can read minds, and, if that isn’t strange enough, she can also manipulate and manifest fire from thin air. Entangled in a web of lies and unaware of the dangers she’s in, Alizarin simply just wishes she can return to her human state, and when offered a chance to hone her powers, she chooses to neither take it nor leave it. Why can’t she just be like everyone else?

Things unfold quickly in this urban fantasy of love, loss, and deception.

Lucette, I've only read the first chapter and I can already tell this is going to be my kind of story! Your story telling is bright and orginal and I admire the way you transition the story. Looking forward to reading the rest of it! view book

I've read through everything you have available here. I must say that it is indeed an interesting story with a very charming protagonist. It does 13 years olds with a hunger for adventure justice. By way of critique I did notice the following: I was on my way to school (with) my friend Trok... view book

YARG Review- Returned. I like the mystery of your pitch; very interesting. Chapter One is a job well done, i somehow like the the daek emotion of you character; though at times I think she wallows a little too much in it. But after all, her parents have died. The gray tone that seems to overc... view book

YARG Review- Returned. Whoa. I completely enjoyed this. I've read the first two chapters now but will surely come back. Your descriptions of the world around Coo is just so vivid; i honestly felt like I was walking behind her and Joe as they traveled to get coffeehouse/cafe. I like how there's so... view book

It's kind of hard for me to find the right words to describe what you've written. I mean there are words like great, fantastic and awesome but I find myself in need of a single word that packs more of a punch; much like Paragon. From your prologue I am immediately enticed to continue through to chap... view book
