about me

My name is Lisa, 27 years old, live in France. My numerous writings are always produced together with my co-author and mom. We chose the pen name Ada Hawk to sign our novels, and I design covers for them as well.

I try to provide constructive comments that would help improving the story, so sometimes it takes me long to return reads. Also, I'd rather read longer bits, since it's tough to judge one or two chapters.

My opinion is just that - an opinion. I don't pretend to be any kind of expert, so I say what I think as a reader. Readers are our final audience, after all :)

Hey Polly! Thanks for commenting on my book twice and sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I'm glad that I did. The first chapter made me cry, and I can't remember the last time I cried over a book. There is such vibrant honesty in there that the reader has to be made of stone in order no... view book

My immediate association with Nabokov was confirmed as soon as I came across his name in the text :) Lolita is one of my favorite love stories, and I was bound to be smitten by Swim. Although, older than Lolita was, Swim strikes me like a more tender, compelling character. Perhaps, that being his in... view book

Hey, Sydney! Here for the swap. Below are my remarks and my personal opinion. I hope you find this helpful. Chapter 1: - Is Chris asleep or is he awake? If he's asleep, how can he talk to Nate? Reading further on, I suppose you mean that he is stoned, but the awake/wake up thing isn't all... view book

Hey, William! Commenting on Seven Haiku. For me, Haiku is something very precise despite its poetic value. It's an image so bright that it almost immediately pops in my mind when I read the verses. It's a leaf, a drop of water, a Sakura in bloom, the sunset... Haiku is literary impressionism f... view book

Hey Renee, Awesome pitch! Really hooked me. My only suggestion would be to break it in paragrpahs for better readiblity. For instance, the last sentence should definitely be a separate paragrpah, I think. Well, it's a delightful read. I like sharp YA heroines, and Emerson is a winner. Here are... view book
