about me

Well, I'm not really sure what to say. I've been writing and drawing since I was 11 years old, and I like to think I've improved at least a little. I'm an avid fantasy reader and I enjoy writing it as well.

Other than writing I'm studying to be a herpetologist/animal behaviorist/zoo keeper at Auburn University and have just started breeding Western Hognose Snakes. I dream of one day either living off my books, or working hands-on with training alligators.

My free time is spent playing games with my boyfriend, studying, writing, doing art stuffs, or playing with my kitty.

Gryphon Legend

Lindsay Adams

Keshaar the gryphon finds himself tangled up in a country-wide war, with his very own twin brother in charge of the opposing forces.

Long ago the land contained a race known as the Alhira Hadriën, the gryphon riders. They were humans who were able to bond with gryphons, and keep them by their sides as companions. This ended the day that Zarks the gryphon attempted to murder his rider and take control of the lands of Shalarith. His rider, Torren, survived and took the role of King, fighting against Zarks.

Born into this tumult are twin gryphlets, Keshaar and Zanthar, who are left alone when their parents fail to return from a hunting trip. Terrified, Zanthar flees the aerie, and Keshaar believes his brother dead. Keshaar learns the truth when it becomes known that Zanthar has joined the war on Zarks’ side. Older now, Keshaar has befriended Torren, and so makes the decision to side against his beloved brother. A decision that will eventually lead to one of their deaths.

They believe their places in the war to be due simply to chance. What they don’t realize is that fate has pitted them against each other since they were born, in a legend so entangled they could never hope to escape.

Reading at the request of your sister (I believe it was) for a read-swap. This book is really not anything I would normally read (not a big fan of nonfiction) however it is well written and a good book. Definitely something I would reccomend for anyone with a strong faith or religion. view book

This is a really terrific story! Despite having had very little sleep this week, I find myself staying up late another night simply because I can't stop reading. I took some notes on the first "four" chapters, but stopped because I got totally sucked into the story and didn't want to stop. I'm ... view book
