about me

I am somewhere between young and old. I have loved reading ever since the day, at the age of 7, I picked up Peter Pan and discovered it was a very good story. Prior to that I was only given boring books to read as I was considered to be in need of "remedial" reading measures. My subsequent leap through the reading levels has led me to the view that the best way to improve children's reading is to give them enjoyable books!

I still love children's books, as it happens. I read more widely but the majority of my books are considered young adult. I am older than that, and indeed my own children will soon be young adult themselves.

I am an Amazon top 500 reviewer, currently hovering between 250 and 300. I have linked my librarything profile where I completed my 250 books in a year challenge 2 years running. Reading young adult novels allows me to get through a LOT of books - although I did read much longer works in that time too, including the Bible and War and Peace!

Hi there, you asked me to look at your work. I have read just chapter one, and its not really for me. I am not big on biography, but I will read one if it will be entertaining. Now as I am not your target readership, you are very welcome to ignore me, but I think it fair to give some comments on wha... view book

Hi Shelby, you asked me to take a read of this a while ago and I have at last got round to it. I think your story jas a nice hook, and puts us into the action quickly. this is an excellent start and I found myself slipping through the chapters and read a fair way in, because it was genuinely interes... view book

Hi Henry. I find it a little disingenuous that you removed my previous comment by taking your book down and then putting up the same book as though it were new. Especially so as your book is still a straight copy of the NIV Bible although with some verses omitted. As I have already explained to y... view book

Thanks for your message about your book. I have taken a look and am going to back it at elast for a while as it is an interesting children's book, and if you continue to develop it I am sure it will do well. I have read what you have here andhave some comments. first and foremost, you need more ... view book

Hi there, I just took a look at your book. I have read four chapters in, so this may not be a fully representative critique, but I wanted to give you some pointers. The first thing that hit me was a lack of references. I know you don't want this work to read like an academic treatise but whe... view book
