about me

My name is Concetta, but call me Connie. I grew up in Philadelphia, PA.

Blending the creative with the analytical has always been my forte. I like writing thrillers that blend technology with provocative moral dilemmas, the human condition, and a touch of romance.

I enjoy flexing my writing skills in different genres and am actually writing an interconnected series of books - 7 in all, which have different plots that are interrelated. Characters from each book pop up in others - from a medieval, to the Hollywood romance ' Moonstone Beach', and into the futuristic thriller Achilles series, where all the characters' destinies collide.

I’m the author of several books in the Achilles Heart series – two are currently on Authonomy.

Moonstone Beach is a fun contemporary genre, which puts real people into the craziness of Hollywood and celebrities. My readers grow to know the characters and have the pleasure of revisiting several favorite personalities and worlds in Achilles Heart – Volume 2 and 3. Each book stands on its’ own as a complete story, but the fun is seeing how puzzle pieces of a larger story fall into place from earlier chronologies such as Moonstone Beach.

I'll gladly swap reads, and would appreciate the reciprocal stars, backing, and book shelving on Authonomy. I try to get to everybody in a day or two and will leave the books of those who reciprocate on my shelf for several days / weeks for you to accumulate points and hopefully get to ED.

Please be nice. If you’re asking me to read and / or back yours I trust you'll at least star my books, WL and shelf for a couple days if you don’t have the time to read. I know life gets busy for all of us. But, we're all on here to help each other. :)

Just about anything by Ken Follett. I found him in 1986 when I read 'Lie Down with Lions' and have been hooked on his work ever since.

A romantic adventure in the Hollywood limelight. (Romantic Comedy)

Three twenty-something best friends move from Philadelphia to Los Angeles with great expectations for sun, adventure, and hitting the reset buttons in life.

Josie LaMaida is a hard-working assistant in the fashion industry, whose personal life was comfortably numb entwined in the company from hell, right up until the boss died in a shocking accident.
Cheri Cohen is a free spirit, brought up in a strict Jewish household, looking to spread her wings while sidestepping a slew of Mr. Wrongs.
Enrique Kessler, Cheri's cousin, is a good-looking college dropout, disenchanted with medical school, hoping to find his way into UCLA, and waiter his way back to school.

They say life happens when you’re making other plans. Well, the bonds of friendship take unexpected twists through the heart of life in the Hollywood scene, red carpets, movie sets, and gold diggers. They could never go home again and live their same old lives, knowing there was something else out there in life between outrageous and average.

At what point does the interest of National Security blur the line between freedom from and freedom to?

Biotechnology, espionage, gun battles, hot passion and cold blood are a thrilling combination for weapons of romantic destruction in Achilles Heart.

Rivalry is first of a four part series fraught with two deadly romantic triangles, three men on conflicting sides of a war with global stakes, and the woman between all of them. Lost in an exotic location, who is to blame and who holds the reins when science and technology go too far?

“These men were already trained murderers of another kind; the breed that kills freedom, hiding behind the gray areas of the constitution, mixing cash, politics and guns.”

Jackson Harper, a conniving genius; a clandestine government project, an international treaty, a tug of war for control of power and the heart of a beautiful woman. Holly Kincade, a young, but brilliant bio-engineer, is unwittingly caught in the midst of a ruthless battle of egos, international espionage, and the charms of a fiercely reliable Royal Marine Commando. The plot thickens as Holly becomes aware of the real purpose of genetically altering a tiny moth, just as the world is on the brink of war.

Which will prove stronger, flesh or steel?

Achilles Heart - Volume 2 - Re....

Never before has a superpower lost control of such politically delicate knowledge since MK- Ultra. A head must roll, but who’s?

“The surface of the sea glistened with the grim secrets it’d swallowed up only the day before.”

In a world of desperate men, revenge is scorching. Rival secret agencies scurry for cover after being compromised by their own toxic weapons of mass destruction. Yet, the most desperate struggle is still ahead of the woman who exposed their darkest of secrets. Their masterpiece is missing, and every means of forensic technology is already heading straight for her. But, will Holly have what they want? The illusive, yet lethal of all bio-electric weapons is Jackson Harper’s only chance to breathe free air again, but only if he can get to it before the people who jailed him in a weapons fortress.
Calypso’s ancient island offers a haven to a war-weary soldier. But, is there anywhere to hide as the forces of love are tested, and jealousy explodes into a cataclysmic gun battle with a stolen arsenal. Payback is the cruelest weapon when this deadly romantic triangle brings the most dangerous men on the planet together with the worst weapon in the history of mankind.
Is all really fair in love and war?

Sean, I loved this! I felt I was right there with you. You have an excellent voice and it felt real and genuine. I'm married to a Brit, so it's easy for me to spot when a writer is trying to hard to do a British character. This flowed so well. It was easy to follow, since I'm not military. S... view book

Hi Jaysan, Forgive me for taking so long to read your work. I think you have a very vivid story and I'd love to read more. I read the first chapter and I like the plot, although it took a lot of time to get things going. There were a few distrations: "The man that fell to Earth" brings up a... view book

Emma, Thanks! :) Glad you enjoyed the read, especially because I normally don't write this kind of book either. It was a great escape from the darker more intense genre I usually write. So I truly appreciate the validation. I will be sure to reciprocate shortly. Connie Moonstone Beach view book
