Mistlyn

Rania Hanna

A young Human girl must decide whether to bring her family back to life--or leave them dead.

The only way thirteen-year-old Mistlyn can bring her dead village back to life is by going with a conniving Jinn to the world of the dead, the Realm of Mote. Mistlyn and her best friend, Sahria, are captured by the Lizard People, who burned down their home village. These two girls are sure they’re the only ones that survived the burning. But now they’re prisoners of the Lizards. Sahria is forced to be a court dancer, while Mistlyn’s been forced to sit on two eggs that are said to contain the life force of the seven races of earth. But once the eggs hatch and three days have passed, Mistlyn is no longer needed by the Lizard King. Before anything can happen to her, Mistlyn convinces Sahria to leave with the Jinn who promises to help them escape and bring their families back to life…if they do a favor for him. Mistlyn and Sahria have to decide if they’re willing to pay the price, or live the rest of their lives without their families.

Shahor

Rania Hanna

A young woman goes to the ancient city of Jehinam with her dead fiance, only to find herself in more trouble than ever before.

Seventeen-year-old Shahor thought her fiancé Amlab was dead. But Amlab comes back to her, only to tell her that he can’t stay with her for long. He is the emperor of Jehinam, an ancient empire, and he has to go back to it. But he wants Shahor to go with him. In Jehinam, Shahor learns she is related to the Noble Few, a group of twelve who created the empire from scratch. This ancestry has made Shahor the target of three kingdoms. War ensues and Amlab is injured in battle. Shahor is not allowed to see Amlab, but she sneaks off to find him dying. The only way to save Amlab is for Shahor to find the tenth skull of the Noble Few. Shahor goes off with a penitent traitor of Jehinam, in search for the skull. But finding the skull is more difficult than Shahor imagined, especially with a traitor helping her. This traitor has secrets that could unravel everything Shahor ever thought about Amlab and Jehinam--secrets that might get Shahor killed by the one she trusts the most.

Noor's Conspiracy

Rania Hanna

A young woman is forced to take part in a conspiratorial rebellion that could start a world war.

A young woman, Noor, is living in the country of Asoirya, her family having been murdered by Infidels, who are fighting to bring down her country, or so she thinks.
When her best friend, a young man named Jude, seemingly betrays her and their country by joining the Infidels, Noor wonders what she is to do, as she watches the world unfold in what would seem to be a world war.

Countries invade countries as factions fight against factions, all in the name of freedom and money.

In a world where the "greater good" is only what is best for the few in power, there is little a young woman feels she can do.

What can Noor do in the face of lies and injustice.

What can *you* do?
Would you do anything?

You write like movie scenes: I can picture everything so well, and the emotionality is well-done: clear and not overwrought. view book

OK, ch. 6 is a good poem. the previous poems/story were not your best: I think in some ways they are cliche and could be strengthened to be made more fantastical. Though, which is what I think you are going for: the voice is that of a child, but an adult child looking back with innocence at an innoc... view book
