about me

Communication without fully understanding, wanting to describe the imagines and ideas in your mind without the ability articulate what you want to say, you might say is a bit of a curse. However, with time and a lot of persistence and patience you can force the words out. You have your good days and your bad days, where you just remain silent, because, to communicate becomes to frustrating for words. These may seem like ramblings to you; the reader, but in fact they are the words and experiences of a Dyslexic person. It all seems a bit grim you might say. However there is a light that shines at the end of the dark tunnel. Because to be a Dyslexic you have many unique abilities, that you normal folk do not naturally possess.

In case you are wondering I have highlighted the word normal for a good reason. It’s not because I’m bitter with the world. Even though I have spent my entire life believing I am abnormal. And it has nothing to do with the constant bullying and confusion as a child. No! The word normal does not embrace that other word in the English dictionary. And that word is different. This word is usually associated with acceptance.

Accepting someone’s differences, allows each of us to view the world holistically without predigest. The world has come along way since the dark days of discrimination. However, there are still those among us that are still silently trying to fit in, with a completely different view of how to perceive the world around us. Failing to embrace those that are different will only hold society back. We must embrace difference if we are to evolve and prosper. That is why I am proud to say I am Dyslexic.

Thank God for Microsoft Word!

The Dark Truth

Brian Thompson

Buried deep within the subconscious mind, humanity has a dark and sinister secret.

Toby Adams finds his life turned up side down, when he discovers he holds the key to unlock the truth. How much can one mind endure when faced with the horror of the past and the burden of the future? His journey of discovery finally takes him to the dawn of time, where he must face the greatest dilemma of his life; is he the cancer that has infected the subconscious or the saviour of human existence?

Below is a comment from a supported of Jottify:

Just finished it and really enjoyed and not just for the story line which is great but also for the subliminal messages that sort of slumber between the lines. It’s rare to find this quality in a tale.

I really like the pitch for this book. It asks a question that automatically draws the reader into the story. ‘Will fear force Ryleigh to return to England or will she confront her destiny in time to save Flittergrace?’ I myself have used this technique. There is some wonderful imager... view book

The start of this book begins with one of my favourite lines ‘The shape resolved itself into that of a slim young woman, carrying a large bundle of wood strapped to her back.’ Your use of light, from the setting sun to reveal her shape, was most effective. ‘Both man and beast become as statues,... view book

‘This frigid wind pushed its cold fingers along the road plucking at the rags that still clung to the figures lashed to the spokes’ This is just one example of the imagery that has captivated my interest in this book. A good book has to grab me in the first chapter and this one certainly ticks... view book
