about me

I think it was Mark Twain that said "The more I learn about some people the more I like my dog!" If not then that's close enough for the girls I go with. This is my first attempt at writing fiction and just thought I would see how it does on here. I have written a few song lyrics and several poems but they were all for friends and family nothing I ever tried to sell or publish.

Where I live or anything about my personal life really won't have any bearing on whether you like my book or not. So I am pretty much putting it out there and either you like it or you don't. I'd just like people to check it out and be honest in their opinions if they leave comments.

I will do some return reads if a book fits my area of interest, and that can depend on the mood I am in that day. It also depends on whether or not I have the time to do it since I am still working on Rebel Vengeance during my spare time.

The second book in the series about Hank Merritt is currently being written. Detour: The Dark Side should be a real action packed thriller. Tidbits of the initial chapters will be uploaded and I'll welcome all comments and feedback. This one should tear at your emotions!

favourite books

Not sure if I have any favorites. I read a wide variety of subject matter, but mostly non-fiction. I lean more towards Christian and some historical books. Might pick up a crime/drama type story once in a while but definitely not erotica or any science fiction or Chick Lit (Sorry Ladies) and all of you space cadets out there don't even ask!

Rebel Vengeance

R.W. Andrews

Hank Merritt is on a mission of vengeance! Someone has to pay the price and dirty deeds are about to become a speciality.

One of your friends is murdered and the girl of your dreams lies in a coma after the attack. What should a man do to avenge the people guilty of this crime? Follow Hank and his sidekick Clint as they hunt them down and even the score. A mob style cartel is no match for a couple of country boys well versed in violence. For every action the enemy takes an equal and opposite reaction puts them on their heels. Who is the hunter and who is the prey? Rebel Vengeance changes the rules, even when the playing field is unfamiliar territory like the Big Bad City.

Law enforcement wants you and an angry drug lord is determined to kill you. So what must you do to survive? Eliminate the one and rely on old friends to appease the other. To find answers it is necessary to go to extremes such as brutal torture of your adversary. The question becomes how far is a man willing to go. The answer is as far as it takes to deliver some justice. Can Hank finish the job before the detectives find him? Either way he is a bad enemy to have!

Hello Nick, Well Chapter one is indeed a good descriptive beginning. Suspensful enoigh in that you do not reveal much more then necessary about the characters. Building towards a good end and prepares for a transition the reader knows will be forthcoming. It draws the reader along quite well. It... view book

First of all I do not see any real changes that need to be made in the first chapter. It has a good flow, and plenty of variety along with definition of characters. The story has enough intrigue to draw the reader in. SO overall I see a polished MS in the making. The one problem I did have comes fro... view book

Interesting first Chapter. I like the way it leads the reader to keep searching. Might need a little more spark! Something to pull the reader towards the next chapter with more mystery. Otherwise I think you have a good start here. I'll put it on my watchlist and re-visit it. view book

Hey Lenny, I did go through the first chapter so far. Been really busy finishing up Rebel Vengeance and getting ready for final re-write and editing. I like the way yours starts out , only one thing caught my attention as a question. The part about it being early march and mostly dark in the mornin... view book
