about me

Now 69 [old degenerate] I wrote my first novel JET! an unbelievable 18 years ago. Proof that the publishing world is one of pure luck... isn't it? JET! is an adult science fiction adventure, and is the first in the JET! Trilogy. The other 2 being Earth to Earth and Eskhatos.

favourite books

First and foremost H G Wells The Time Machine, but there are many others by Asimov, Bradbury, Chrichton, Arthur C Clarke, shall I go on?

Earth to Earth

Phil Phoenix

This sequel to JET! explores the further adventures of Sirk Notaani after they escape from Earth before the UWF use the depol.

Having also escaped the clutches of Brigadier Tranter, and seen off a full squadron of Terrafighters, Sirk heads for Urf where they plan to settle down and live among the Men. There is however one huge problem they have to overcome before they can settle down to everyday domesticity. At the end of the book there is also one big surprise for Sirk, and one he finds hard to believe. Earth to Earth is in my humble opinion a better story than JET!, but I would welcome other's opinions on the story, oh, I almost forgot, it also has 2 short "tear jerker" chapters.

JET!

Phil Phoenix

Sirk Notaani, a hyper space pilot, is sent on a mission to contact a humanoid race on the far side on the universe.

In the 34th century Sirk Notaani says goodbye to his beautiful wife Cita to undertake a mission that will take him to the far side of the universe, and keep him away for nearly two years. Crash landing on arrival seven months later he has to [hopefully] find a technology advanced enough to repair his ship the Diamond Dart in order to return home. Setting off to seek out this technonlogy he almost loses his life on more than one occassion, but then fate takes a different tack, and after his capture by the Men he is shown a museum that tests his sanity to the limit. Realising he has to return home to save Earth his quest to repair the Dart becomes imperative, but before setting off for Earth he must help his new found freinds to defeat their time-worn enemy The Powerful One.

Hi Silverback, What can I say, having seen my chance and grabbed it, I was not disappointed. Another chapter, another surprise. That is one incredible fight scene, and the tragic end for young Brin was spell binding. At 146 you are higher up the ranking than me, although that doesn't surprise me.... view book

Hi Scott Well I've managed to read 2 chapters[at last], and - I loved them! I'll have to get back and read the rest, as I had to finish at the end of chapter 2, right at the point where he has to return to the lab. That's the trouble when you're in constant demand, but I'll back for some more - soo... view book

Having at last found time to read more of this book, I find your descriptive style most entertaining. Your attention to detail does you credit, I could almost feel, touch, and smell the words I was reading. I hope soon I'll be able to get back and read some more, but having to look after my mother [... view book

Space Burps is amazing! I picked this story at random, and I'm so glad I did. Written with humor, some of it hiarious, the story flows well, although it does need a little light editing, I'm sure it will do well in reaching the HC review. I urge anyone [sci-fi fan or not] to read this, you will not ... view book
