I don't know when I've ever read such an enchanting book. The characters just leap off the page. I know this isn't necessarily a Christmas book, but I find historical romance is especially delightful this time of year. Carly is just the perfect heroine and I'm so glad I've read this book. I read through to chapter two. I was a little confused by the beginning of the prologue- you might consider breaking up the first couple of sentences or phrasing it differently, but there was a great hook at the end. This is good. Reminds me a bit of Harry Potter, but don't take offense-- I mean this in a good way. The prologue is heartbreaking. A woman looking for a missing child? How sad. This book is incredibly fast moving--the kind of book that pulls you in and doesnt let go. Great world-building here. Kelly is the sort of character I'd like to be. I'd love to see this book made into a movie. It has the sort of action packed pacing that seems to do well on screen. Nicely done. view book
