about me

I grew up in the small town of Elkhart, IN. Ok. Technically not as small as some towns, but still small. I have to give a little background about how I grew up. I am a “P.K.”. For those of you who don’t know what that is, I am a Pastor’s Kid. My parents passed away quite a while ago. My siblings and I were raised very strict, old fashioned, Pentecostal. Very restricted.
Being that I was raised very restricted, I tended to make up adventures in my head of places I would go or things I would do, which led to me having a very good imagination. I read to my kids a lot and many times in the past, I would just make up stories and tell them those. This led them to say, ‘Mom. Why don’t you write some of this down?’ So here I am today. Me and my, for lack of a better description – spouse, Ron, have been together for 14 years. I have 2 children; boy and girl; and together we have 4 children; 2 boys and 2 girls. Yes. If you are counting, we have 6 children ranging from ages 20 to 3 years old. That would also explain my very good imagination. My first book, “Ill Fate”, has been published through Trafford and is now available on their site, Amazon.com (in various countries and languages), Barnesand noble.com, Ingram, and various other sites.

The classic battle of good vs. evil is often clouded as to who is really good. Throwing in a mix of immortals creates another question.

Skye Rainwater had always been different, seeing things that others could not see. She was fully aware of the immortals; vampires, werewolves, witches, shape shifters; living in their small valley town, but they did not know she could see who they were. When some of the immortal’s loved ones started disappearing or turning up viciously murdered, she could see the tension and upset building among them toward the humans. They started to prepare to take revenge. Somehow Skye knew it wasn’t humans that were responsible for this. It is now up to Skye to come forward and convince the immortals to work together with the mortals in order to find the real killers. In a horrifying battle for both mortal and immortal, where something evil lurks, Skye will be taken down a path that will not only reveal secrets about her past that she was unaware of, but will also challenge her physically and mentally, leading her to question who the true enemy is.
