about me

*** I'm too busy writing my novel right now to really stay up to date with this site. I'll always return reads and shelf you if I like what I read but I don't have the time right now to dedcate to seeking out new reads. Maybe when I finish writing.

*** If you're an author who is just trying to play the Authonomy game and shelf books you wouldn't really read or buy then I am going to lose respect for you. I back and comment on books I would genuinely buy and read.

I am a graduate of the honors English program at Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada. I am presently working on a novel about a dead sexy werewolf who gets caught up in a very bad situation.

favourite books

My favorite published books include but are not limited to The Mountain and the Valley, Atonement, The Dark Tower series by Stephen King, The Lord of the Rings, Beowulf (though technically that's a poem), and The Watchmen (though technically that too is not a novel per se... more a graphic novel).

Blood of Eden

Janice Godin

Sex, werewolves, and a whole lot of questions. Katherine is thrown into a puzzle that only she seems to see, and only she can solve.

Werewolf by birth, lawyer by choice, Katherine Laflame spends her days in court defending criminals because she understands the urge to give into the primal nature of mankind. The daughter of the most powerful Alpha male in all of North America, Katherine concerns herself mostly with her own world, and tries to stay out of her father's. But her father's world has come crashing into her own, violently forcing Katherine to see truths about her heritage that she would rather not see. Then she meets a man, or rather a wolf, and things start to get interesting.

Katherine finds herself pulled into a puzzle of ancient rites, prophecies, and mythic lore only to realize that she might just be more important to her people than she every thought possible. Promises are broken, sides are drawn in the ground, as Katherine searches for the truth of her nature, her beginnings, and her fate.

*** 70,000 words so far but this is the max I'll put up on Authonomy.

Love this! Love the short pitch, the story and your writing! Shelved. Just two small things because, even though some people hate it, I like it when my readers pick up on small things I overlooked. In your pitch you have, "the secrets she keeps." Double plural. You need either "the secre... view book

I'm a big fan of supernatural stuff and so your pitch drew me in instantly. However, if was your creativeness and wonderful writing that kept me raeding. Modern day Paradise Lost. Lucifer always was more interesting than God. Janice (Blood of Eden) view book

This is exactly the kind of book that would leap off the shelf at me and beg me to buy it! I love your talent with words and I think you have a real winner with this story. Shelved with the deepest desire that you get published! Janice (Blood of Eden) view book

I really like this, both your writing and the story. My only tiny nit pick is with your first paragraph. As some other author once told me, that paragraph is valued real estate and it should be the best it can be. That said, the word "change" is used four times right away and in quick succesion. ... view book
