about me

I am a jeweller/silversmith living and working in London.

For years I resisted writing a book, on the grounds that I would never be as good as Jane Austen. Finally I realized no one is as good as Jane Austen, and wrote two novels; I have now finished my third, a feel-good whodunit called 'Remix', and my fourth, a thriller, 'Replica'.

REMIX can be bought as a paperback, £7.49 inc. p&p or for Kindle, £1.99 on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/3yjgajy

REPLICA can be bought for £1.99 on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/6jgldvx

Caz is startled to discover a strange man asleep on her rooftop terrace...

Caz Tallis is living her dream, restoring rocking horses in her Hoxton workshop.

A chance encounter with the shabby but charismatic Joe and his dog (called Dog) leads her into investigating a missing rock star and a murder that happened three years ago. When she discovers Joe is not the ordinary guy he says he is, should she continue to trust him? Or go straight to the police as James, her best friend, wants her to?

She has to discover who is lying to her, and who is telling the truth, before she too becomes a target for the killer...

TORBREK...and the Dragon Varia....

Lexi Revellian

Tor is Dragon Master in the rebel army. But why is King Skardroft taking an interest in her? Fantasy with humour, and no darned elves.

Family you inherit, friends you choose; studying the records of the legendary Hundred Knights, the King’s cold-blooded agent Corfe unearths a secret about Tor that even she is unaware of, a secret that will change the outcome of the fight for Calambria.

And because of this, Tor faces a conflict of loyalties that lead her into love and adventure.

This is fantasy that non-fantasy readers will enjoy…

Trav Zander makes an implacable enemy when he takes on the task of hunting a dragon... Don't like fantasy? You'll like this.

What happens when you get what you want - and when you don't? Or when you have it, don't realize, and let it go...

Trav Zander is a freelance solver of problems. His latest job, for the appealingly large fee of fifty thousand ducats, is to locate the dragon in the mountains, and bring it to Carl of Thrales, inheritor of the kingdom of Ser. Carl wants the ultimate weapon; a warrior dragon.

And if he puts Zander in the dungeons instead of paying him, it won’t cost him a penny…

This is an absorbing read; you have a natural direct style of writing (though it needs an edit) and the story you tell is riveting. Have you submitted it to Harper True? If I were scouting for that imprint, I'd be interested, in spite of the fact that it would need to be twice the length for publica... view book

You have been gifted, it seems to me, with the ability to tell a story simply and so effectively the reader just has to keep turning the pages. This overrides any small faults; the book has an energy and life of its own. (I'll back it when I next change my shelf.) view book

Nothing wrong with the story, but you've chosen a dull way to tell it. And TELL is the word; the first chapter is nothing but. What you need is SHOW. Imagine your story playing out like a film before your eyes, and describe what you see - dialogue will help, and don't feel you have to explain everyt... view book

Come on, Niko, give your writing a chance - break it up into paragraphs like a real book. Also, the first chapter is all your narrator telling us things. Think of your book as a film; would you like a film where the first ten minutes consisted of the hero facing the camera and telling you about ... view book
