about me

My name is Stuie, I'm 32 and with two children. I've been writing for five years and currently writing my third book whilst editing the first (the second will be edited and written in tandom with the third when the first is done. I know it's strange, it's just the way I write.)

Writing is the only thing I've good at, and I'll keep chasing the dream. And so should you.

favourite books

Any with an emotional resonance, that don't spend four chapters introducting the lead character, that grip me and don't let go.

The Polished Horde

Stuie Parker

Bagley is a bad man.

Jaded and cynical, made bitter by the world, he's about to be woken.

And potentially destroy the human race.

Bagley hates the world and most things in it; he barely loves the people close to him. Numbed and cold by people and places; he tries to find a spark in the world through unsavoury thrills and venomous debate with his best friend.

A fun night out spirals into a terrible series of events, and Bagley is slightly brain damaged. Even worse, he begins to integrate into society. People listen to him love the very things he once hated; terrible decisions begin to amplify in the wake of his new-found positivism.

As Bagley fights against the threat of his former self resurfacing, the earth might just explode under the weight of its own garbage.

This may be the most offensive and darkest book you'll ever read. Bagley hopes so.

The Apple Of Clareza

Stuie Parker

It is the time of God's judgement. In the midst of the bigger picture, these are stories of ordinary people in an extraordinary world..

It is the time of the Apocalpyse. Apples have fallen from a holy tree in Jerusalem, a magical secret kept for thousands of years. Slowly and inexorably, they find their way into the lives of the ordinary. They hold the key to a vision of clarity, and an ultimate destiny that will free them from purgatory. As each apple is eaten, doors begin to open as they examine their new place in the world, discovering the only uncertain undiscovered country: Love.

As one life touches another, the line between salvation and damnation becomes blurred.

And between each story lies a snapshot into the bigger picture...

What Is. What was. What could be, what should never be. What is lost and what is found.

Were it not for the immortality of the soul, how could we believe in Snowflakes?

Hi, glad you enjoy it. I'm aware he needs more, the way I work is to write to the end then edit chapter by chapter, I'm not sure how far I am off the end. I know where it's going though. Hope the rest doesn't gross you out too much :) view book

I read your prologue and first chapter and found it charming. The prologue sets things up nicely but isn't too serious, and once we meet the characters the dialogue is beautifully naturalistic. It's fascinating to read on as the characters don't seem to really live in the real world, and I'm enjoyin... view book

Very well written, I like the First person perspective. it's always difficult to write like that because you only have one point of view. Great start and looking forward to reading more... view book

As others have said, powerful and amazing stuff. Lot of detail here and it goes to show how the best stuff is not necessarily at the top. To me it looks professional. Great story. view book

Reading the first chapter, it's a good read with a great hook. Lovely juxtaposition of happiness at the start, confusion in the middle and heartbreak by the end. You make the reader run the gauntlet of emotion. Lovely stuff, look forward to reading more. view book
