about me

As a spiritualist, Ken has had a lifetime fascination with the paranormal, and even though this story is fiction, Ken has written with a great deal of authenticity, having experience some of the paranormal phenomenon described. He has also used an author’s licence to normalise the family involved. That is of course if it is possible to classify someone who hears voices and sees apparitions as normal?
Ken has been married to a medium for over fifty years; therefore, his character Steve, the husband of the medium, was easy to create, having suffered similar experiences over a much longer period. If his wife reads this, Ken wants suffered to be substituted by enjoyed. Having seen the funny side of spiritualism, Ken has endeavoured to lighten the story with humour, and hopefully you will smile and remember someone who is still only a loving thought away. The story has no religious connotations, although it does support the authors' belief that life is eternal through the love of the universal God and creator.

Ethereal Witnesses

Ken Watkins

Karen in a trance bound and gagged inside a cabinet, in a dark room full of strangers. What could go wrong?

Karen Wilson a famous spiritualist medium is accused of cheating. Items allegedly found in her cabinet during a séance provoked a leading psychic newspaper to sue her under the fraudulent medium act.
Robert Stone, a sceptic of spiritualism, using his web site denounced Karen as a fraud. Stating that anyone who attends séances and is deceived by trickery is a moron.
This infuriated Paul Lovatt a highly respected lawyer who witnessed his wife’s grandfather materialise at a Karen Wilson’s séance. He declared, spirits have a voice; they should be allowed to use it regardless of a death certificate.
A television company agreed to televise a trial and a séance. Regardless of the abusive letters, the phone calls and a break-in at their home, Lovatt tries to persuade a reluctant Karen to risk everything with a séance on TV.
Stone wants a professional illusionist and an escapologist on the show. He claims they can produce the same paranormal phenomenon that fraudulent mediums use on gullible clients.

Hi Kyla, I have just read your latest chapters and the more of your story that unfolds the more I am able to empathise with your partner who is your inspiration for telling this story. A great deal of your partner's anguish and despair does leap out of the pages. This is not my kind of read I must s... view book

Hi Kylla, It is very brave and considerate to censor your story to try to protect younger readers. Not a very wise decision though, because you have lost your backers. best of luck Ken. view book

Hi Kylla, I see that you have added other chapters to, Size Does Matter to an Acorn Man. It is a fascinating and unique story, and very imaginative writing. I am intrigued to see how it all works out in the end. I will look forward to more chapters being added. Best of luck, Ken. view book

Hi, Kylla si Vengo, Having read the five chapters of, Size Does Matter to an Acorn Man. I must confess that I changed my opinion after chapter two. Chapter one concerned me the way it was heading’ because of the voyeurism. I didn’t like Andrew’s dirty minded attitude, and his need to masturbate. How... view book
