about me

Reside now on the Devon coast. lived my first 30 years in Brixton South London and regularly return for a fix of its vibrancy. Have been writing as a hobby for years mostly short stories, I love the escapism it brings. My book Sativa is a crime novel, I have left off the end as it will only be a read if I am asked to reveal its climax. The sequel is started, but am now putting life into an imaginary character I shared with my kids in stories as they grew. Have been in the antique game for all my life, have a passion for English furniture design and Doulton Lambeth ware and artists from the workshops there, being a Lambeth boy of course. Love Devon especially in summer and a stormy beach walk is a love too. Have no qualifications except the most important a true love of life knowing each day whatever it brings is a gift, believing too that for all the strife in the world my share of it came with a lucky geographical positioning and at a half decent chapter in our evolution.

my books

Sativa

Robert Andrew Smythe

Three worlds collide changing many futures forever. Sativa is the tale of normality corrupted and dragged into the darker dysfunctional side of life.

Adam Campbell runs an unremarkable antique business in South London. Hamida Fazzari runs an extremely remarkable international cannabis trafficking operation. Art Van Bommel runs behind Hamida, her partner in a spiteful, vicious, lonely and dysfunctional relationship. Sativa is the story of lust, greed, violence and base selfishness in a world where only the truly heartless can succeed.

The Diary of Paul Cush is a wonderful piece of fiction. The imaginative use of the diary as the medium chosen to portray events is great, I found this piece intruiging and full of suspense and Lamia is such a wonderful character. The Cush family story is a great horror tale I look forward to the oth... view book

A very well written story I like the character building in chapter one, the interaction and joining of forces between Emily and Desmond was good. I felt that for folks in such danger and under extreme threat the tension level a little tame and casual in this chapter but tha is my only small negative... view book
