about me

A while back I suffered serious head trauma that--oh, wait...

I live in Perth, Western Australia, and Dark Matter is my first Authonomized book. I've put it up here to get some feedback (and, ideally, some HC expertise) before I self-publish.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to give me feedback so far. It's much appreciated :)

Dark Matter cover design by Tatiana Vila.

Strawman Made Steel

Brett Adams

Janus McIlwraith sleeps in one New York and works in another--in a future that went to Hell in a handbasket and returned with crazy eyes.

Private Investigator Janus McIlwraith sleeps in one New York and works in another--in a future city that went to Hell in a handbasket and returned with crazy eyes.

But this future New York has regressed. Something deep in Reality's plumbing burst, and electricity will no longer submit to harness. Gone are the days when men erected skyscrapers vast enough to house entire city boroughs. The streets are now gas-lit and stale.

Some things never change, and like old New York, these streets still take their harvest of dead, and need a shop-soiled knight with a tough hide and a quick mind. But when McIlwraith takes the case of the rich boy whose brutalized corpse is found in a dumpster, he little realizes how deep the case will cut--right to his very core, to the place where, like this city, his own soul is split in two.

Dark Matter

Brett Adams

To avert another holocaust, Rasputin races his own rebelling biology to discover what secret unites a dead girl, an awakened Nazi, and an ancient sect.

All Rasputin wanted was a beautiful suicide. Instead he's fighting to save the world.

Salvation hinges on the answer to a simple question: what links a dead girl, an awakened Nazi, and an ancient sect? Rasputin knows the answer. It lies in his mind. But his mind is no longer his alone.

From New York to Brussels to Perth Australia, a killer closes in. From the death throes of World War 2, to clandestine meetings and the library of a forgotten visionary, he comes. Rasputin must match wits or unleash a second holocaust. Winner takes all.

** Chapters removed as I have enrolled Dark Matter in KDP Select. I'll put them back up after the 90 days. :)

Hi Nafeez Just a few thoughts on the chapters you have up: The topic is timely. I like the sense of motion you've created by switching between the characters and scenes. I'm intrigued to find out who is plotting what, and how on earth Nazi tech is involved in this. From reading your bio, it would... view book
