about me

So, I am back after a lengthy hiatus from Authonomy...Before I vanished, MTBB was in the top 500. I'd love to get it there again.

I am a small town Canadian, and I have loved language since a young age. I plan to make a career out of writing, and you can help by reading and reviewing! :)

Although I have only posted part of my novel 'Made to Be Broken' on the site, the whole book is self-published via CreateSpace, and available on Amazon. :)

Your advice and criticism are highly appreciated!

Who was the woman behind 'the face that launched a thousand ships'? From Sparta to Troy, assassinations to kidnapping, follow Helen's tragic tale.

I am Helen of Troy, the bearer of the face that launched a thousand ships. The woman that caused hundreds of men to fight and die in battle. The one that endured tragedy, grief, and loss.
I prevailed when the gods themselves desired to ruin me.
This is what truly happened those thousands of years ago, from a greedy kidnapper to murder to imprisonment. These are my mistakes, my pain, and my guilt. This is my story.
I was made to be broken.

YARG review Hi Ellie, Read the first two chapters, and I will definitely read more, because I really enjoyed it so far, and the plot is certainly something that interests me. I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be published--the characters are intriguing, the storyline draws you in, the p... view book

Hello Patty, I finally got a chance to begin reading your novel, and I'm very glad I did! I only read the first two chapters so far, but I enjoyed them and will read more. Your writing draws the reader in and creates a vivid image of the life and time period of the characters, and you obviously ... view book

After ch. 1--Certainly an entrancing tale, full of magic and wonder. I would definitely give it to younger siblings to read, if I had any. Perhaps my little niece, when this is in print. Because I'm sure it will be. :) There is just one small thing that I could hold against it--the characters are ju... view book

After ch. 1--Intriguing! You tell enough of a story in the first chapter to draw a person in, but not too much that said person becomes bored. An era I personally don't know much about, so the historical aspect is something I enjoy and look forward to seeing as I continue reading. One suggestion: Th... view book

After ch. 1--I'm amazed at how you get into the main character's mind, and made me feel the same drug-haze, the same confusion and delusions. Very well done, I'd say. :) I can see already it's going to become gory and macabre, which is not enticing for me personally, but I will probably read on none... view book
