Euthan Palace

Simon Verde

Pass through Euthan Palace for The Protectorate's greatest gift - immortality. Just be really sure you want it.

A pinch of madness, a drop of dark technology and a liberal dose of religious fervour combine in a deliciously twisted dish.

The war has run its course, although Protectorate expansionism continues under the guise of religious converson. Mankind can have everything for the right price, even immortality. That, at least, is what is on offer at Euthan Palace. Not everyone believes. Not everyone is happy, and The Protectorate can't have that...can they?

Cover Art by Manolo Guerrero.

Okay, six chapters in and enjoying myself. I want to finish all ten chapters posted here before commenting in more depth. I like the world you have built here and already have my favourite characters. As I say more to come when I finish reading. For nw, you've just bumped someone off my shelf. view book

I have read the first three chapters and I hav rated your book. Although I enjoyed the story in itself, I thought that perhaps you could have made it a bit more pacy in order to draw the reader in more. As an example, you start well with the prologue and there is a menacing feel to the introduction ... view book

I'm enjoying this and thought I'd drop you a comment whilst I read. My kind of book. I tend to forget about typos if I'm enjoying myself, which I am. More comments to follow as I read on. On my brand new shelf view book

Thanks for the comments and on the typos, as mentioned before, Leftenant is one of a few deliberate spellings and as such not a real typo. This novel is set in a broken future, hence the mix of technology and Dark Magic. I will add your other comments into the mix for my next re-write. Cheers... view book

I found this is an interesting premise which promises a strong story, however there is a problem which affects the flow and pace. I notice that you say you write with a quill and then you get it transferred to PC by your wife? Somewhere in that translation, and I have had similar problems with conve... view book
