about me

Hi, and thanks for checking in. I'm a married 40something, who enjoys almost everything. I love to party, love my family, and love my life.

I suppose it's time I updated my profile here :) The book I had on this site was called Canterbury Warriors. Set in the 1970's on an impoverished council estate in Bradford. The genre is social realism and the story is based on the truth.

Since I wrote it, Harper Collins have signed me to write a trilogy, all based on the same family - my family. Keeping a series title of Canterbury Warriors, all three books will be released over a six week period, starting on November 2nd 2014.

Book 1 - Our Vinnie - set in the 70's
Book 2 - Uncle Charlie - starts in the 1930's and ends in the mid 50's
Book 3 - My mam, Shirley - set in the rock and roll era of the 50's and 60's.

I love reading the books on here, and will try to support my favourites by shelving them for as long as I can.

Oh what can I say? I love almost all books - far too many to mention on here.

Shaping up great, Nathan :) One minor thing - here in chapter 10, we're in Winston's POV, but you say that Emma felt Winston's hand twitch beneath hers. You need to alter this sentence so that it's from Winston's view. Something like, 'his hand immediately twitched at her touch, and too late, he cou... view book

Hahahaha :) Oh, Nathan, I'm loving this. Viva La Revolution! Winston of the Wirral is set to transform Wallasey! What a great idea. I love the character already, and I've read all six chapters. Of course, I'll read more as you upload them and have watchlisted and five starred for now. I'm also quite... view book

Hi Ben, will soon be moving on to chapter 4 and I'll leave full comments later but I wanted to mention (in case I forget) that your innermost thoughts in chapter 3 are coming across as very mature for a young boy struggling with a depressive condition, I think. Not 100% about that just yet and will ... view book

I've read up to the end of chapter 5 (the fangs of heaven) and I have to say, I am very impressed. This is so clever on so many levels. It explores the darker side of the human personality and also touches on the mind of a probable sociopath. It seems to me that the newly formed, reshaped world, ... view book
