about me

Hi, and thanks for checking in. I'm a married 40something, who enjoys almost everything. I love to party, love my family, and love my life.

I have been writing for a long time, although never with 'hitting the big time' in mind. Posted on here is my first attempt at a book length story. It's quite gritty, but humorous (I hope!) too. I do want crit, but don't be offended if I don't make changes right away. This is a first draft, and I will change it when I am sure I know what I want.

I love reading the books on here, and will try to support my favourites by shelving them for as long as I can.

Please have a quick look at my book, go on, you know you want to. x

Finally! A writer on here who isn't afraid of telling it like it is, and about the kinds of places I write about too, I scored twice here. A daring portrayal of a taboo subject, very well thought out. I already love Faz and can tell that he is about to learn some harsh lessons about the reality o... view book

Mike, I can't believe this but I wrote you out this really great crit, pressed submit and then my internet connection was lost, and I couldn't retrieve it :( Suffice to say that I can't remember my exact words, but I think I can sum it up. You have teen speak down to a fine art, and this is defi... view book

I've read up to the end of chapter 5 (the fangs of heaven) and I have to say, I am very impressed. This is so clever on so many levels. It explores the darker side of the human personality and also touches on the mind of a probable sociopath. It seems to me that the newly formed, reshaped world, ... view book

Ulva, I have read all six chapters and believe you have the makings of something really worthwhile here. Your fiance made mention that this is in part, based on your life. I think it is worth having a good think at this stage about the direction you are going to take. Coming of age memoirs, with a c... view book

Excellent job, Erin. 'I was bursting to tell the world, but the world didn't want to listen to my happiness' is one of the most poignant lines I've read in a long time. This is a great story and I've read all you have uploaded. Please let me know when you post more as I'm dying to see how it plays o... view book
