about me

Ancient Reader passed away on May 6, 2011. Retired and reader of fantasy, science fiction, mystery and other thought-provoking literature.

I have discovered as I have been on Authonomy for a few weeks that I want to add to this profile.

I am not just a reader, I enjoy editing as well, and am having a great time with all these marvelous books I've been reading. I taught high school English here in the states for 14 years and then I got a master's degree in counseling psychology and went into high school counseling for over 8 years. Now retired, I do pro bono work teaching English as a second language and counseling adults.

Dear Scott, After reading all of your book and seeing your desire to make this book the best it can be, I am backing you. Your premise is unusual and the world you create undesea is still with me; your characters have clear personalities and your themes are universal. I am very impressed th... view book

Leila, I have just finished all of chapters one through five and wish I had time for more. You have a great premise here, the wolf being forced to live as a human and coming to terms with that. You do a fine job of showing the differences between a wolf and a woman. This section is a bit longe... view book

Dear Jim, I remember your book well, and even now can easily get drawn into the story. I was just reading a few paragraphs to recall the story and the next time I looked, I was going on to chapter four, having read all of chapter one through chapter three! I am rating you very high and back... view book

Benjamin, You deserve to be higher on the ranking and I know because I've been on this site for over a year and the premise of Fidelity is a masterful one. The two threads of story you have chosen to weave together are each fascinating alone; together they make a riveting tapestry of need and ... view book

Dear Natasha, I have finished all you have up and enjoyed it. Having a teen angel earning his wings is a great gimmick and you carry it off very well. The vibrating pouch is perfect as a way of Dani keeping track of his feathers. I agreed with all the vibrations you told about, but wondered ... view book
