The Hidden Truth

Jonathan Logan

After over nine years of silence in his life, Samuel Tarveras is once again pulled into a magical, mysterious and demonic reality...

Other than severe amnesia of his youth and strange dreams of himself as a seven year old boy with mystic abilities, nothing seems out of the ordinary for the seventeen year old Sam. This all changes when he has a small silver medallion given to him. The moment he touches it, the powers he constantly dreamed of having as a child, turns out to be true. As do the rest of the dreams he had about himself. One of these powers allows him to read the mind of others. Since he has no way of knowing how to control his power of mind reading, he overhears the thoughts of everybody around him. While at school he sits behind his ex-childhood friend, Sophie Robinson. During a moment of silence in class, he thinks about her and confesses his feelings in thought. Much to his surprise, she responds to his thought with her own, revealing that after all these years, she had powers as well. Now they both have to work together, while rekindling their lost friendship, to find out why they were hunted by demons as children. All the while, facing a much stronger demonic threat that looms in the darkness...

Read the first 3 chapters so far. The narrative is very alluring and pulls the reader into the moment that you are describing. There was a lot that you touched on, which i imagine will be implemented much later on. Such as the police, your the friends, and your father. There were a dew grammatical e... view book

Really good. I liked how you made Brad ask her questions a reader might ask when it comes to writing. And how she described part of the scenery in response to his question about being a writer. I like How Kate views herself to be of a specific root, but Brad seems to see otherwise. Like when she ana... view book

read the first two chapters and liked every word. Definitely a completely new idea that i have not seen done before. I liked the bits of back story, as well as the different words that these merfolk use to describe things in our world. view book

Like the narrative and how unique you are in describing each "creature" with its own distinction. I think it really shows attention to detail. I have only read the first chapter, but i liked how you wrote this in the first person and how you can break down a single second of time into deep, intimate... view book
