about me

I work in retail, I love to read and watch movies, I try to write in my spare time!

And as my mother likes to tell ALL foreign waiters "I'm Scottish, by the way."

Bradley Wind did me a cover. I love him, I do.

As a card carrying member of ASSO I retain the right not only to ignore your spam, but to copy and return it to you in the same manner as it was received should it so amuse me.

P.S With the exception of the occasional last minute bid for the desk, I like to keep things on my shelf for as long as possible. So don't be asking for any of this reciprocal backing nonsense. If I like it enough to shelve it, it can join the queue.

Hello Rachel! Thought I'd give you a read, finished chapters 1-12. For what it is worth, here are my comments. Feel free to ignore/disparage as you choose. I like the Anne chapters best. I think her voice is coming through particularly clearly, and its very engaging. The only query I had a... view book

Hellooooo! Right, love, I promised I would read these aaaaaaaaages ago, apologies for taking so long. So far, I've read "Just Not Cricket", "Beautiful Horizon". "Health Farm" and "Leaders". I loved loved loved Horizon and Health Farm. Both had gorgeous, gentle humour and neat little morality... view book

Hello Nick! Finally returning the BHCG review, muchos apologies for taking so long. I read up to 10, then realise 11 was under revision so didn't want to skip ahead. Plot Well, the pitch and all those genre tags definitely caught my attention. I love the Vistorian London setting, the mena... view book

Hello Sue! Here to return the BHCG review. I'm going to forgoe the traditional format as I think it will be more useful to give the feedback on each story individually, rather than fit each story under each heading. It Gets My Goat I thought this was the strongest of the 6 stories here. Its a... view book

Hi Abbie, here to return the read. Remember, as its a BHCG review, its focused mainly on nits and crits! Plot: Wasn't really sure what to expect from the title. Whenever I see 'Medical' or 'Medically' outside of crime or horror I immediately think of Mills and Boon. but what have we got her... view book
