about me

I'm a full time primary teacher and full time writer!
I have self published two children's novels about stroppy teenage tooth fairies which have sold in excess of 4000 copies. I have a third book coming out in July 2009.

Aggie Lichen; Pilp Collector
ISBN 978-0955019203
Aggie Lichen; Pilp Collector - Arty's Revenge
ISBN 978-0955019210
Aggie Lichen; Pilp Collector - Hero Required
ISBN 978-0955019227

Although self-published, I do have an agent; Suzy Jenvey at PFD Literacy Agency, Drury Lane, London. Like many others, I am looking for a deal with a mainstream publisher who can take my books worldwide.

Hero Required is completed, but I have only uploaded first fifteen chapters which is enough to give readers a little taster.

I have uploaded a second book 'Marvin'. I would really love your comments on this rather than your backing. I have only uploaded three chapters and have just repeated chapters two and three so that it becomes open to the public. Let me know what you think so far!

Marvin's Curse

Debra J Edwards

A boy who hears voices and sees things. A girl who hangs out in a cemetery. Mystery to solve but one will not survive.

Marvin hears voices. Marvin see things. Deeply disturbed or just psychic?

Stella likes trees. Stella likes cemeteries. Deeply affected or just eccentric?

They need each other to solve a mystery. A mystery where one will not survive.

A pawnbroker where you can pawn dreams, secrets and memories holds the key.

Aggie Lichen; Pilp Collector -....

Debra J Edwards

Pilpsville's in chaos - screeching sprites, filthy Grublins and a usurper on the throne! With no pilp collectors around either, who will save this world?

Six months ago Aggie Lichen was a normal fifteen year old. She reluctantly went to school, constantly argued with her sister and spent far too much time looking in the mirror! But while other teenagers were out enjoying themselves, Aggie was sneaking into children’s bedrooms hoping to collect the perfect pilp. You see Aggie Lichen was no ordinary girl. She was a pilp collector – a tooth fairy!

But that was then – this is now …

With sprites and Grublins roaming the streets causing chaos, someone needs to restore calm and return Pilpsville to its former glory. But with most of the town’s inhabitants turned into Grublin-fairies by the evil Arty Granger’s potion, the task seems virtually impossible. A hero is required, but where can one be found?

In a glass jar, captured by humans, lies a Grublin-fairy. Stripped of its memories, it knows nothing of its former life, friends or family. Yet this pathetic little creature has a vital role to play – and remembering its own name could be the perfect starting point!

Sorry for not getting back sooner. Small matter of car accident!! Wow! What can I say? You write both intelligently and with conviction. The pace and tension in the first chapter were just perfect. A difficult subject to deal with, but you do so with with knowledgeable passion. Shelved! view book

Really enjoying this so far, John. You have a good way with words and your writing is clear and sophisticated. May I suggest one thing? In the beginning where the box is prised open, could you make more of this? It's kind of - oh, dear, there go the spirits - yet before you have the hand trembling a... view book

Hi Kim, Just been reading through your book. Loved the way you tease the reading by not revealing things too early. That can really make or break a book - usually the latter! Love the idea! Happy to back you and wish you well for the future. Debbie view book
