about me

I love to laugh, drink champagne, spend time with family and dogs, travel to far and distant places, but most of all, I want to be the best writer that I can be... I have several Works In Progress, but my recently completed book about the loves of my life, my dogs, is my 'labour of love', and I am only on the first volume. My hope is to have my readers seamlessly move from laughter to tears, back to laughter again....

The Word According To Dog

A Maisey

A story about lessons in unconditional love, as taught through the powerful language of 'dog' by two fence leaping, tunnel digging, cat-hating, rescue dogs!

This is the story of a human life transformed by the experience of being chosen by two dogs - two dogs who were snatched from the cruel hands of the grim reaper just in time by an unlikely human champion. In saving these two precious lives, ultimately it was they who saved their champion from a life half-lived, and bestowed upon her the most amazing gift of all - true unconditional love. This is a love story of triumph over adversity, joyful elation, heart-breaking sorrow, as well as a long, canine trail of endless mischievous mayhem, all set in the beautiful Australian Blue Mountain town of Canberra. But ultimately, it is a story of lessons learned through the unspoken language of dogs, a language that transcends all conventional wisdom by its simplicity, honesty and 'humanity'.

Michael, fab beginning (hope to read more when time permits) - your characters are believable and emerge really well. The storyline and dark humour are engaging, which is really important for this genre. I really enjoyed reading and will be returning for more, so lots of stars! I would be really g... view book

Lenny, this is a heartwarming lesson, with a gentle but steady pace, and believable characters, understated but powerful. I like your gentle approach and feel this work should provide inspiration to many. view book
