about me

Thank you everyone who helped Pascual's Birthday to the Ed's desk.
I've been lucky enough to meet some amazing people here, and have gained the support of writers I really respect.

The journey to the desk is not easy, so I'll be taking a bit of recovery time. I've read a lot over the past months, so unless I owe you a read (please let me know), I'll be taking a break.

Instead, I dedicate my shelf to my wonderful friends with my warmest thanks. Andrew W and Steve H who have been with me since the very beginning, Jane Alexander for all her help, Geffordson for being the funniest running partner I could ask for, and the wonderful Fred Le Grand.

There are more including Mary White for helping me get to the desk, Jake Barton and B Worm for their endless support, Jeff Corkern for teaching me about commas and many more.

Acceptance speech over - I'll see you again soon.

Pascual's Birthday is complete but I haven't posted it all - one has to keep one's powder dry.

My Dad's excellent book - A Circle Has No End is now available on Amazon:

Now he and his grandson set out to find it.

As a small boy in the Spanish Civil War, Pascual lost his family, his home and his birthday. Now an old man, he is inspired by his grandson to explore the past in search of his history.

Ooooh - this is creepy! I like the way the house feels like a solid character in the story. I could picture it - dark and brooding. I know it's written in the present, but I kind of saw it unfolding in front of me like a black and white film. Rebecca definitely came to mind. The use of poet... view book

The premise of this story is really interesting, and seems to have everything - unrequited love, death and ultimately rebirth. And you can't go wrong with a sunshine island either! Although the story seems to have plenty of pace, I stumbled a bit over the writing. I think you may have fallen into... view book

Although this isn't a genre I'd usually read, it's an interesting concept and the writing has a nice flow and pace. I'm popping you on my shelf and wishing you lots of luck. Diana Pascual's Birthday view book

What a lovely premise for a novel. And the content does not disappoint. The writing is easy and comfortable, and I felt engaged from the very beginning. I can see your book providing support and inspiration for people who really need it. On my shelf with my very best wishes. Diana Pascua... view book

I'm not sure this is the easiest font to read on screen. I'd also try to avoid the use of 'apostrophes' and italics where possible - your writing should create the emphasis without relying on punctuation. However, I really like the premise of the story, and you certainly have an engaging start to... view book
